My work emerges from a need to understand the world through making. Drawing lies at the core of this inquiry, as a way of entering into relation with matter, territory, and the multiple temporalities that move through them.
 

Over the years, I have developed research projects in ecosystems including the Amazon, the Everglades, the Sahara Desert, and the Cundiboyacense Highlands. These field experiences, together with archival research, cartography, painting, video, and material experimentation, form processes in which the work gradually emerges through the interaction between the body, materials, and environment.

I am interested in observing how human action transforms living systems and alters relationships between species, territories, and timescales. I seek to construct images that participate in these processes, making perceptible connections that normally remain beyond our experience.
 

Over time, I have come to understand images as systems of translation. Within them, matter, memory, territory, and technologies of observation affect one another, generating new forms of perception and knowledge. I understand each work as a space of correspondence where different forms of life, different temporalities, and different ways of seeing can encounter one another without predetermined hierarchies.
 

My practice creates the conditions for materials, territories, images, and forms of life to enter into relation. In this encounter, making becomes a form of knowledge.
