Intervalo
During pandemia I spent many hours immersed in the universe of my garden exploring, without a schedule, until my rhythm caught up with the slow time of the plants. There I became a cyborg made up of me and my devices: computer, camera, magnifying glass, microscope, WIFI, fiber optics and the interoceanic cable. Interconnected I accessed content from telescopes, microscopes, and satellite stations around the world so that, paradoxically, the disconnect from pandemic confinement turned out to be hyper-connection with remote places and scales. I felt I was a traveling device.
I N T E R V A L O has to do with discovering stars by looking at the bottom of ta swamp, with the indescribable sound of Enceladus, with erasing the boundary between the ciliated paramecium and the chlorella algae that it keeps inside its body; with imagining -from abstractions based on mathematical calculations- the mandalas that are drawn in space when illustrating the trajectories of the Earth and Mars around the Sun; with countless journeys on different scales human while a virus locked up the entire species in 2020.
